Job summary

WSP NZ in Auckland is seeking a Senior Technical Principal to lead water asset management across strategy, lifecycle, investment and risk. You will build trusted advisor relationships with water sector clients and regulators, guide asset information and resilience initiatives, and contribute to business development and thought leadership.

You will bring 15+ years in asset management for water utilities, a relevant tertiary qualification, and strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification and professional registration or accreditation.
• Minimum of 15 years' professional experience in asset management, water services, utilities and/or advisory consulting.
• Demonstrated experience in water supply and/or wastewater asset management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 55000/55001 and asset management system thinking.
• Understanding of New Zealand water sector drivers, reform and information disclosure requirements.
• Proven ability to work with clients, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.
• Current clean driver's licence.

Technical Principal - Water Asset Management - Auckland
We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal or Technical Principal - Water Asset Management to join our Water team in Auckland. In this senior role, you will provide technical leadership for WSP's Water Asset Management practice, helping clients improve asset performance, resilience, investment planning and regulatory readiness.

About you:
