Job summary

ZZE Tech invites applications for an Electronics & Board-Level Repair Technician based in Auckland. You will diagnose and repair motherboard and logic-board faults across Apple and Windows devices, with emphasis on microsoldering and component-level work.

This role focuses on board-level diagnostics rather than screen and battery replacements, and requires meticulous, independent work to maintain high repair standards.

Qualifications

• At least three years hands-on motherboard or logic-board repair experience.
• Strong microsoldering and component-level repair ability.
• Experience on both Apple and Windows devices.
• Proven ability to diagnose no-power, charging, liquid-damage and short-circuit faults.
• Good understanding of electronic components and board-level circuits.
• Confident with small components and fine-pitch soldering.
• Experience repairing smartphones, tablets and laptops.
• Methodical fault finding and repair approach.
• Ability to work independently and manage a repair queue.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Apple and Windows logic boards and motherboards.
• Carry out microsoldering, component-level rework and replacement.
• Repair no-power, intermittent-power, charging faults and USB issues.
• Diagnose and repair liquid damage, short circuits and other board faults.
• Replace ICs, connectors, MOSFETs, capacitors and other components.
• Use schematics, boardview tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Identify underlying causes rather than replace parts blindly.
• Perform repairs on smartphones, tablets and laptops.
• Carry out screen, battery and other hardware repairs when required.
• Maintain repair standards across device types.
