About the Role

Our client is at the cutting edge of developing and maintaining secure, high-performance blockchain networks. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Blockchain Network Engineer to join our distributed team. This role is essential for ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of our blockchain infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing network nodes, monitoring network health, and implementing robust security protocols. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of networking principles, distributed systems, and blockchain protocols. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to critical blockchain infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain blockchain network nodes and infrastructure.
• Monitor network performance, health, and security, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
• Implement and manage network security protocols to protect against threats.
• Optimize network performance and resource utilization for scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate new features and updates into the network.
• Manage node synchronization, consensus mechanisms, and data integrity.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolution.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in blockchain networking and distributed systems.
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the blockchain network architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (4+ years) in network engineering, systems administration, or a related role, with a focus on distributed systems or blockchain networks.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) and network architecture.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts, consensus algorithms, and network topologies.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a remote team setting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
