Job summary

Woolworths New Zealand is looking for a skilled Baker to join our bakery team. You will prepare and bake quality cakes and breads for the department, ensuring great customer service through safe handling and product quality.

You will champion Health and Food Safety practices and support training, development and supervision of apprentices and team members in the Bakery Department, helping us deliver fresh, tasty experiences to shoppers across Aotearoa.

Qualifications

• Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge in baking.
• A strong customer focus, excellent communication skills.
• The ability to work under pressure, work flexibly and to tight frames.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake quality cakes and breads for the department.
• Champion Health and Safety and Food Safety practices to ensure an excellent level of customer service for our bakery customers.
• Train, develop and supervise apprentices and team members in the Bakery Department.
