Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking a bakery professional to join our store network as a key player in lifting bakery operations. Reporting to the Bakery Lead, you will coach teams, analyze store performance and deliver practical solutions to boost efficiency and quality.

You'll focus on mentoring Bakery Team Leaders, conducting store visits, supporting health and safety standards, and helping implement pricing, ranging, sourcing, and promotions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a bakery department in a retail organisation and/or a relevant tertiary qualification.
• Strong communication, negotiation and mentoring skills.
• Experience in analyzing trends and identifying operational issues in a retail bakery context.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring Bakery Team Leaders and their teams to strengthen capability and performance.
• Conducting regular store visits, preparing comprehensive business reports and identifying opportunities through business and trend analysis.
• Supporting stores to meet health, safety and food safety standards, including expectations set for food retailers and wholesalers.
• Completing Technical Sign Offs for Trainee Operators, while supporting new store setups and refurbishments.
• Helping stores implement business strategies and improve bakery operations, ranging, sourcing, pricing and promotional activity.
