Placements24 is seeking a Backend Software Developer with strong Python skills to join its growing technology team in Queenstown. You will contribute to scalable server-side applications and robust APIs in an Agile environment, from design to deployment.

You will design and build RESTful services, optimize database access (PostgreSQL/MySQL), write tests, and collaborate with frontend engineers to deliver high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of backend Python experience.
• Experience with Django or Flask.
• Strong relational database and ORM knowledge.
• Familiarity with Git and cloud platforms; containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python code.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Develop and optimize database schemas and queries for performance and scalability.
• Write comprehensive unit tests and integration tests.
