Job summary
STAND UP in Western Sydney is seeking a fully trade-qualified Fitter Machinist in a busy, autonomous workshop. You will read engineering drawings, set up CNC mills and lathes, operate conventional equipment, and deliver components to tight tolerances without supervision.
The role offers 42 to 45 AUD/hr plus 12% super, with overtime from 6:00am and Saturday overtime. Free flights and accommodation on arrival are provided, with a family business culture and varied work across the full fitter
Qualifications
- Completed trade qualification as a Fitter Machinist, full apprenticeship required.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings independently.
- Operate CNC milling machines, machining centres, and CNC lathes.
- Work on conventional equipment including manual lathes, mills, drills, saws, and grinders.
- Carry out precision measurement using micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, and height gauges.
- Fit, assemble, dismantle, and repair mechanical components.
- Collaborate with boilermakers, welders, and engineers.
