Jora New Zealand is seeking a skilled Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician for Christchurch. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, test systems, and service vehicles to high standards in a busy workshop.

Responsibilities

Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in vehicle engines and components.
Inspect, test and diagnose vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and computer-based systems.
Dismantle and remove engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems and other mechanical components as required.
Repair or replace worn, damaged or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components.
Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and general vehicle servicing.
Repair and maintain vehicle engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension systems and brakes.
Reassemble engines and other vehicle components after repairs.
Test and adjust repaired mechanical components to ensure correct operation and performance.
