Job summary

A leading automotive recruitment agency is seeking an experienced automotive technician for a franchise dealership in New Plymouth, New Zealand. This full-time permanent role offers an excellent remuneration of $33 to $38 per hour based on skills and experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing and repair work on light passenger vehicles.

An excellent remuneration is on offer for proven skills and experience, ranging from $33 to $38 per hour depending on your skills, experience, and training.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy dealership. This role is full time and permanent offering a minimum of 40 hours per week.

The role

The role is based in a vehicle franchise dealership working on multiple brands of light passenger vehicles.

Duties will include

• Servicing and repair work
• Mechanical repairs
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• Engine work
• Ordering of parts
• Transmission and gearbox repairs

Requirements

We are looking for skilled technicians that meet the following requirements:

• Relevant automotive trade qualification
• Ability to work independently
• Successful achieving of productivity and efficiency KPI's
• Able to train apprentices
• Prior experience on prestige European vehicles or on Asian vehicle brands is highly preferred though experience on other vehicle brands will be considered
• Solid diagnostics skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Clean drivers license
• Work well in a team environment
• Experience with OEM scan tools
