Job summary

CAL Isuzu is seeking a qualified Auto Electrician to join our Auckland-based Auto Electrical team within the Mechanical department. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and components across late-model Isuzu trucks and other heavy vehicle brands.

If you have experience in the heavy automotive industry, enjoy working autonomously, and take pride in delivering quality workmanship, this could be the role for you.

Qualifications

• National Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering (NZ qualification)
• Proven experience with commercial vehicles and electronic air-conditioning systems
• Sound knowledge of the New Zealand Road Transport industry
• Strong customer-service mindset
• Excellent communication and time-management skills
• Full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence (HT licence preferred but not essential)
• Proactive and safety-focused approach to work

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and components across late-model Isuzu trucks and other heavy vehicle brands.
• Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions to ensure reliability.
• Work autonomously, manage tasks efficiently and uphold high workmanship standards.
