Job summary

PwC New Zealand is seeking an Associate in our Audit team to deliver high-quality financial statement audits across sectors. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders and engagement teams to understand reporting processes, assess risks and support work that builds trust in financial information.

Your day-to-day includes preparing audit workpapers, performing procedures, analyzing financial data, communicating clearly with clients, and using technology to improve audit quality and insights.

Qualifications

  • A relevant Bachelor's or Master's qualification in accounting or a closely related subject.
  • Chartered Accountant membership or equivalent, either in progress or attained.
  • At least 18 months' experience in an external audit role within a professional services firm.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting standards, with an interest in building deeper industry expertise.
  • Strong organisation, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex information in a practical way.
  • A collaborative approach and confidence working with clients, colleagues and wider teams.

Responsibilities

About the role
