Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Arborist to lead the Arboriculture team in Hastings, managing the district’s tree assets and coordinating scheduled and reactive works. The role focuses on mentoring staff, providing technical guidance, and ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes.

Formación

• Minimum Level 4 Arboriculture qualification and substantial practical industry experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to lead experienced staff and develop junior arborists.
• Willingness to climb and undertake arboricultural work when required.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and coordinate scheduled Hastings District Council tree maintenance and reactive works.
• Lead, mentor and develop arboriculture staff, including practical training and assessment.
• Provide technical arboricultural advice and undertake climbing or operational work when required.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist arboricultural services.
• Plan worksite requirements, including traffic management and safety controls for roadside works.
• Collect, verify and maintain tree asset, inspection and maintenance data.
• Monitor work quality, productivity and compliance with Council and Green by Nature requirements.
• Respond to urgent tree issues and storm damage; work with internal teams to plan communications.
