Job summary

LiveHire Limited is seeking an Apprentice Drainlayer to join our civil construction team in Marlborough. The role provides practical on-the-job training while working toward a drainlaying qualification and developing the skills to become a certified Drainlayer.

You will assist qualified Drainlayers with installation, repair and maintenance of drainage systems, and participate in apprenticeship training. A can-do attitude and reliability are essential for success in this hands-on role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of stormwater, wastewater, sewer and subsoil drainage systems.
• Help prepare trenches, bedding and backfill materials.
• Assist with laying, joining and testing drainage pipes.
• Support installation of manholes, catchpits, sumps and culverts.
• Assist with general civil construction and labouring duties.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Participate in apprenticeship training and assessments.
