Pathways in Whanganui, part of our Health and Wellbeing team, seeks an AOD Practitioner to provide assessment and evidence-based care for tāngata whai ora. We are an Adult AOD service supporting people with substance use challenges, focused on person-centred, recovery-oriented practice.

The role involves assessment, therapeutic interventions, collaboration with the healthcare team, and developing group-based approaches.

Qualifications

• AOD experience in mental health and addictions settings or similar.
• Current annual practicing certificate.
• Full registration with DAPAANZ.
• Meet the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act requirements.
• Current full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and strong time management.

Responsabilités

• Provide therapeutic intervention and services to improve outcomes for tāngata whai ora or taiohi.
• Deliver high-quality, professional services in all interactions.
• Provide recovery-focussed and strengths-based interventions, support and recommendations.
• Collaborate with internal and external services.
• Support design, development and facilitation of group-based approaches.
