Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to drive IT infrastructure topics, manage projects, and partner with stakeholders across departments in ANZ. The role focuses on delivery, performance, and ongoing improvement of Local Infrastructure Management in Australia and New Zealand.

You will lead end-to-end infrastructure activities, implement global IT initiatives locally, and support office relocation projects while ensuring compliance and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science or IT related areas.
• Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure operational support & service delivery.
• Minimum 3 years of IT Project Management Experience.
• Strong knowledge in desktop support (laptop & ipad), Windows OS and Apple IOS.
• Strong knowledge in IT Service Management and ITIL.
• Excellent communication skill in English.
• Excellent user engagement with strong user-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end accountability for all IT Infrastructure activities of Australia and New Zealand with effective stakeholder management.
• Lead the local implementation of global IT Infrastructure initiatives, including network, video conferencing, end-user device replacement; technology rollouts, and digital upskilling programs.
• Lead and support IT infrastructure setup for local business projects as required, including office renovation or relocation project.
• Drive operational and audit excellence across Australia and New Zealand, ensuring reliable service delivery, effective execution of IT infrastructure initiatives, and strong compliance.
• Deliver IT on-site support in Australia and oversee on-site support services in New Zealand, ensuring service performance and effectiveness through stakeholder feedback, supervisory evaluation, and IT incident management KPI reporting.
