Job summary

TSB is seeking a Software Engineer - Android to design, build, and maintain Android apps across Auckland/Wellington/Taranaki locations. In this fixed-term role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement secure, high-performance mobile solutions, and contribute to continuous delivery processes.

You will work in an Agile environment, focusing on Kotlin/Java, UI/UX, and API integrations to deliver robust mobile experiences for customers.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Android development experience with Kotlin/Java.
• Experience building and publishing Android apps to Google Play.
• Strong REST API design and backend integration experience.
• Solid understanding of Android UI/UX and Material Design.
• Experience in app performance optimization and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of Android apps.
• Integrate mobile apps with backend systems via RESTful APIs.
• Participate in project planning and technical design for mobile solutions.
• Implement mobile security best practices and data protection."
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for mobile deployment.
• Monitor performance and crashes; drive incident response and improvements.
