We are seeking a dedicated educator for a fixed-term position to lead our targeted alternative education programme for middle years students (Y7-10). This is a unique opportunity to provide tailored, holistic support and high-impact interventions that make a measurable difference.

About the role

This0.4 FTEfixed-term position is dedicated to the development and academic re-engagement of students identified for the programme. You will be responsible for providing a flexible and supportive learning environment, focusing on both well-being and academic success.

Key areas of focus will include working with students to improve:

  • Attendance and engagement
  • Academic achievement in core subjects (Literacy and Numeracy)
  • Personal and relational skills
  • Successful re-engagement back into secondary school, further education, training, or employment through a planned approach.

Who we are looking for

This role would suit a registered teacher with primary or secondary experience who excels at finding innovative and creative ways to engage students who may have become disengaged from mainstream education.
