Job summary

Delaware North New Zealand in Auckland Airport is seeking a part-time Kitchenhand to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen and contribute to a first-class dining experience. You will join a team focused on safety, quality, and efficient service within a busy airport environment.

Ideal candidates have prior Kitchenhand experience, a valid Food Safety Certificate, and flexibility to work a 7-day roster including mornings, days, and nights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchenhand.
• Food Safety Certificate.
• Willingness to work a varied 7 day roster including mornings, days, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
• Conduct temperature and quality checks to prevent cross-contamination and ensure WHS compliance.
• Support kitchen team to keep workspace organized and efficient.
• Perform hands-on cleaning: sweep, mop, wash dishes, dispose of waste, operate a dishwasher and handle chemicals.
• Assist with food preparation in a commercial kitchen and showcase good food presentation.
