Job summary

Placements24 in Queenstown (Eastern Cape) seeks an experienced AI Product Manager to lead the development of autonomous AI-powered systems. You will own the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, driving strategy, roadmap, and market insights in collaboration with AI/ML engineers, software developers, and UX designers.

You will translate business needs into detailed specs, prioritize features, define KPIs, and steer go-to-market plans.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Business; MBA or Master's preferred.
5+ years in product management with a focus on AI/autonomous systems.
Proven successful launch and scale of technology products.
Strong AI/ML knowledge: computer vision, sensor fusion, path planning.
Excellent market analysis, strategic thinking, and decision-making.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder influence; cross-functional work.
Experience with Agile development.

Responsibilities

Define and drive product strategy and roadmap for AI-powered autonomous systems.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer needs assessments.
Translate business requirements into detailed specs and user stories.
Prioritize features and manage backlog with trade-offs.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, software devs, UX designers, and marketing.
Define KPIs and monitor performance post-launch.
Act as primary product evangelist to stakeholders.
Manage product launches, go-to-market strategies, and lifecycle management.
