Job summary

Drummond Contracting Ltd in Ashburton, South Island, seeks an experienced Machinery Operator for a hands-on seasonal role.

You will load, transport and maintain equipment, work independently or with the team, and adapt to varied tasks from October to April.

A valid Class 1 license and NZ work rights are required; WTR endorsement is advantageous; 30 hours per week minimum with pay reflective of skill.

Qualifications

• Previous agricultural contracting experience an advantage (≤140 chars).
• Must have the right to work in New Zealand.
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence.
• W, T, R endorsement an advantage.
• Self-motivated and reliable.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and upskill.

Drummond Contracting is a family-owned business specialising in niche small baling and feed trade. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Machinery Operator to join our team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on role offering variety throughout the season. It would suit someone who takes pride in their work, is self-motivated, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Key Tasks

• Load, unload and transport product
• Carry out general contracting and harvesting duties
• Perform daily machinery checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance

Key Requirements
