Job summary

Rocket Lab Corporation is seeking a diligent Buyer to convert requisitions into robust purchase orders, manage supplier performance, and drive competitive bids for critical space components. You will partner with Engineering to track R&D order statuses and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining accurate ERP records.

The role requires strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills, with up to 10% domestic/international travel.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing and negotiating with suppliers is essential.
• Solid understanding of purchasing processes and supplier management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Convert requisitions into purchase orders with supplier evaluation.
• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased parts from vendors.
• Manage supplier relationships and RFQ processes for best pricing.
• Collaborate with Engineering as the primary contact for R&D orders.
• Update material planners on PO status and delivery dates.
• Negotiate terms to meet quality, cost, and delivery goals.
