Administrator - Security Settlements & FX

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Settlements & FX Administrator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Security Settlements Manager, this is a permanent role, based at our Head Office in Tauranga however we will consider Auckland for the right candidate.

The Security Settlements team ensure the timely and accurate settlement of all securities (including the payments required for them) and the collation of client foreign currency requests ready for purchase or sale of foreign currency. The Security Settlements & FX Administrator will work across Security Settlements and FX currency administration to ensure the timely and accurate settlement and payment of all securities. The role will work on the Security Settlements administration to ensure that all equity and fixed interest trades are settled, and basket applications, withdrawals and composition changes are actioned in an efficient and timely manner. The role will also complete FX currency administration, including reconciliation of foreign broker accounts. The role will also provide cover and support for the Security Settlements team, as and when required.

About you

We are ideally looking for someone with a financial services background. You will also have:

• Prior administration experience (essential)
• A relevant qualification in finance or business administration (desirable)
• Understanding of market terminology and financial products and instruments (desirable)
• NZ Clear, BANCS, and Citi Bank system experience (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the business
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to demonstrate flexibility and embrace change
