Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Waikato Hospital seeks a passionate physiotherapist to join the acute team in a busy tertiary hospital setting. You’ll assess patients, design focused treatment programmes, and support discharge planning to aid recovery, with skills in respiratory, geriatric, and early mobility assessments.

Qualifications

• NZ physiotherapy registration and APC required.
• Minimum 2 years’ acute respiratory experience preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication with patients and whānau.

Responsibilities

• Carry a full caseload of patients on acute wards.
• Provide high quality, safe and effective physiotherapy care.
• Manage time and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced hospital.
• Be open to feedback and use it to drive growth.
• Supervise staff and students as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team across environments.
