Job description
Our Role

We are recruiting for a motivated and experienced Account Manager to service industries that include construction, environmental, mining, pulp & paper and water & wastewater sectors. This permanent fulltime role would ideally be located near Hamilton New Zealand and would service our customers throughout New Zealand. Reporting to the Director Sales this position will be based out of our Hamilton New Zealand Office and will be responsible for developing new and existing client relationships and growing the business across the abovementioned sectors. The candidate will be a “hunter” and readily present technical and product information to existing and future customers.

Key Focus Areas the Role Will Include:
  • Develop and deliver the tactical sales plan for the designated territory that successfully delivers the agreed budgeted commercial objectives and the marketing strategy.
  • Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts within defined timelines.
  • Work collaboratively and proactively with other Account Managers and the Director Marketing Asia Pacific to continually develop the opportunity pipeline by seeking new customer and market opportunities and information on products, competitors and market trends.
  • Organise selling and promotional activities to meet these sales and budget objectives;
  • Successfully implement the pricing policy for all products in the market stream;
  • Successfully utilise and apply Commercial Excellence tools and processes;
  • You have a proven ability to meet and exceed budgets, generate new leads to increase market share and revenue.
  • Provide insights into customer/market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Working closely with our plant personnel, technical service, and customer service departments to meet customer expectations on quality of our products and service.
  • Use of Salesforce CRM for all customer quoting, growth pipeline activities and customer call information.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications:
  • You have exceptional communication skills with a confident presentation style as well as the ability to analyze, interpret and present data and trends.
  • Having experience in contract tendering would be an advantage but not essential, as is industrial/technical sales knowledge from the mining, construction or building product industry.
