Job summary

Mercury is seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a large MEP/CSA construction project. You will lead the project quality team, implement QA/QC plans, and drive zero-defect delivery.

Responsibilities include setting up procedures, auditing QA systems, training personnel, and reporting KPIs weekly. Strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration are essential to ensure the client’s quality standards are met on time.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering high-quality construction projects.
• Degree in QA/QC or equivalent, or demonstrable experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher.
• PMP certification by PMI.
• Chartered membership in CQI/IEI/CIOB or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Lead the quality team for an MEP/CSA project and build long-term stakeholder partnerships.
• Set up and manage QA procedures, controls and systems on site.
• Deliver right-first-time, zero-defect performance and guide the project to that standard.
• Train personnel to apply QA/QC practices to all on-site activities.
• Audit QA systems, publish weekly quality indicators, and drive continuous improvements.
• Coordinate with client, subcontractors and suppliers in weekly QA reviews.
• Standardise QA reporting and metrics to focus on effective measures.
• Develop and maintain project QA documentation and test plans.
• Oversee performance management of team members and ensure accountability.
