Job summary

Mar Recruitment & Consulting is seeking 15Interior Carpenters to join our shipbuilding team on the West Coast of Norway. You will perform interior installation work onboard ships, ensuring compliance with HMS procedures, drawings, technical standards, and quality requirements.

Start ASAP with 1–2 weeks lead time. Work schedule is Mon-Fri, 07:00–18:00 (50 hours/week). This is a 12+ week assignment with urgent hiring and strong emphasis on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ship interior construction and installation.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Experience with wall and ceiling panel installation.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in furniture installation.
• Ability to use tools and follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations according to standards and guidelines.
• Interior work may include bulkhead and deck insulation.
• Floating floors and self-levelling.
• Installation of walls, ceilings, and bottom profiles.
• Window boxes and top coverings.
• Plan, schedule, and prioritize installation tasks.
• Conduct pre-checks of work areas and review drawings.
• Identify and report conflicts with other systems.
• Coordinate with other departments (hull, paint, electro, piping, HVAC).
• Ensure tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards.
• Provide guidance and direction during installations.
