Job description

Omega Subsea is strengthening its Training & Competence department and is looking for a structured and collaborative Training & Competence Coordinator to support the development of our new training centre in Bergen.

In this role, you will ensure efficient planning, coordination, and administration of training activities for ROV, survey, and maintenance personnel. You will play a key part in developing predictable, high-quality training workflows and ensuring long-term competence alignment across our offshore crews.

Working closely with the Training & Competence Manager, simulator team, instructors, crew managers, and offshore personnel, you will help build a scalable training model and maintain our high industry standards for competence development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and schedule all ROV, survey, and maintenance training courses
  • Maintain and update the annual training and competence plan for crews and trainees
  • Track competence levels and ensure compliance with the company’s competence framework
  • Align course needs with offshore rotations, operational priorities, and trainee progression
  • Support development of customized training programs and long-term competence strategies
  • Collaborate closely with instructors, simulator staff, equipment vendors, and training bodies
  • Provide clear visibility of competence status across core crew groups
  • Contribute to building structured planning systems and trainee intake schedules
Qualifications
  • Technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, or similar
  • Senior-level ROV experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with training coordination or planning is an advantage
  • Comfortable using planning tools and digital competence systems
  • Familiarity with Navisworks or similar 3D software is a plus
  • English fluency required; Norwegian is an advantage
  • Experience with product development using AI tools
  • Excellent communication skills are essential to engage and deliver training that is both accessible and effective.
