Job summary

Birralee International School Tr As Avd Sfo provides an exciting international learning environment in Trondheim, Norway. We seek a Teaching, Learning & ASP Assistant to support the class and individual learners, fostering wellbeing and inclusive progress throughout the school week.

The role is a permanent full-time position with working hours 08:30–14:30 and a salary range of 418,600 to 551,100 NOK per year, plus a 2% pension deduction. Applicant selection is on a rolling basis.

• A relevant vocational qualification in child and youth care is desirable.

• be patient, caring and have a determination to bring out the very best in children;

• be able to stay calm and objective when presented with challenging behaviours;

• be enthusiastic and motivated to improve learning outcomes;

• be enthusiastic and committed to work as part of a team;

• be able to work alongside the class teachers to improve learning and inclusion.

A relevant vocational qualification in child and youth care (fagbrev i barne- og ungdomsarbeiderfaget) is desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The position is paid as an assistant according to the latest Hovedtariffoppgjøret (KS). The person hired will normally be paid from 418.600 to 551.100 NOK per year (for a full time position) depending on qualifications and seniority.

A 2% contribution to the Pension Fund is deducted from the salary.
