Job summary

VertexGlobal in Svalbard is seeking a reliable Warehouse Worker to handle receiving, storing and shipping of goods with a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities include inspecting incoming goods, labeling and storing items, packing orders and operating forklifts/pallet jacks. A Svalbard work permit or biometric passport is required, with at least 1 year of warehouse experience and good English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
• Biometric passport or valid work permit for Svalbard is required
• Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is preferred
• Good communication skills in English
• Valid driver's license is an asset

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming goods for damages or defects
• Sort, label and store items in designated locations within the warehouse
• Prepare orders for shipment by picking and packing products
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to move goods
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
• Ensure warehouse is clean, organized and free from hazards at all times
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines while handling goods
