Job summary

This role requires a civil engineering degree and at least 3 years of construction management experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills for effective team direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in construction management or related role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in project management software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Svalbard.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans and timelines, including cost estimates and resource allocation.
• Oversee the selection of contractors and subcontractors for each project.
• Monitor progress and ensure that deadlines are met.
• Manage budgets and expenses for each project.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and address any issues that arise.
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders at all levels.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers on design plans.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.
