Job summary

VirtualWorks Hub in Bergen, Norway is seeking a Surveyor Assistant to support our team of surveyors in planning and executing land surveys. You will assist with field tasks, operate equipment, and ensure data accuracy.

This entry-level role welcomes students or recent graduates and offers onboarding, hands-on training, and accommodation provided. You will gain practical experience in geomatics while working outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Land Surveying, or a related field; students currently pursuing a degree welcome to apply.
Basic knowledge of land surveying principles, tools, and techniques.
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good physical fitness for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Biometric passport for international travel (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Assist with setting up and operating surveying equipment such as total stations and GPS receivers.
Collect and record accurate data during field surveys.
Help prepare survey reports and maps.
Conduct research and gather information related to land surveys.
Maintain survey equipment and ensure it is in good working condition.
