Job summary

Laerdal Global Health is seeking a UX/UI design intern for Summer 2027 in Stavanger, Norway. You will join the LIFT product team and help design digital tools that support healthcare education and training in low-resource settings.

You’ll contribute to user research, ideation, and UX/UI design, working with international teams of designers, developers and program managers. This paid internship runs 8 weeks from June to August 2027.

Qualifications

• Passionate about UX/UI design with user-centered focus.
• Curious problem-solver who can simplify complex workflows.
• At least 3 years of UX/UI higher education (e.g., interaction/product design).
• Experience with Figma and interest in AI-assisted design tools; familiarity with Lovable and Claude Code.

What you will be doing

As an intern at Laerdal Global Health, you’ll join the LIFT product team, designing digital tools that support healthcare education and training in low-resource settings. You’ll contribute to user research, ideation and UX/UI design, helping create intuitive solutions for healthcare workers, educators and program managers around the world.

Who we envision would fit this role

• Passionate about UX/UI design, with a strong interest in creating intuitive, user-centered experiences
• Curious and creative problem-solver, able to simplify complex workflows and design for diverse users and resource-constrained settings
• At least 3 years of relevant higher education in UX/UI (e.g. interaction design, product design or a related field)
• Experience with Figma and an interest in exploring AI-assisted design and prototyping tools. Familiarity with Lovable and Claude Code is a plus.
• Relevant work experience is an advantage, but not required.
