Job summary

Shield AI seeks a Business Development Lead to drive defence market growth and partnerships across assigned markets in Italy. You will own territory strategy, build a disciplined pipeline for autonomy and aircraft solutions, and lead end-to-end deal closure to meet sales quotas.

You will engage with senior military leaders, ministries of defence, and industry partners to articulate mission outcomes and integration pathways.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in business development, capture, sales or related roles in defence or aerospace.
• Experience navigating international defence or regulated markets.
• Proven success shaping opportunities with senior stakeholders.
• Strong executive presence with military, government and partner stakeholders.
• Technical understanding of autonomous systems or defence technologies.
• Willingness to travel frequently and relocate if needed.
• Fluency in English; regional language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own go-to-market strategy and pipeline across autonomy, aircraft, ISR, and mission systems.
• Lead end-to-end deal closure including planning, shaping, proposals, negotiation.
• Engage with senior military and defence authorities across the territory.
• Represent Shield AI’s portfolio and articulate mission outcomes and benefits.
• Develop regional partnerships and offset-aligned strategies to expand access.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to support capture and delivery.
• Maintain forecast accuracy and pipeline reporting.
• Provide market intelligence on opponents, demand, and risks.
