Job description
Squarehead is looking for a C++ Developer to help us advance our world-leading acoustic systems.SquareHead Technology

We’re a small team in the software department who solve interesting problems in modern C++. Now we're looking for a new teammate to join us!

What you’ll do

Our main product is an array of 100+ microphones, which, combined with some clever maths and signals processing, enables us to listen in a direction. This allows us to detect and locate threats like drones.

The code that runs on the array is written in modern C++, where performance, clean code, safety, and collaboration really matter. The main responsibility of the code is to continuously sample the microphones, run the necessary DSP and machine learning algorithms, and turn this into detection information. This is then made available via network APIs, together with audio and video streams.

To make all of this happen, we use tools like C++23, CMake, Conan, clang-tidy, clang-format, sanitizers, IDEs of your choice, git and GitLab. And the best tool of all; talking to each other and getting stuff done.

The role is based in Oslo, Norway, more specifically in Nydalen, but working from home every now and then is not a problem. C++ experience as well as good written and oral communication skills in English are required. Any knowledge in TypeScript, Rust and CMake is a bonus.

If this sounds fun to you, and you have experience in some of what we have listed, send us an application describing how you can contribute. A bachelor’s degree or other relevant experience is an advantage when applying.
