Job description

OUE Healthcare is seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join the Sleep Laboratory and Clinic of our subsidiary group. Our team of Sleep Technologists is integral to the success of our Sleep Laboratory and Clinic through delivering high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services for sleep disorders and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic sleep studies
    • In‑lab attended overnight polysomnographic testing (level 1) and split‑night studies.
    • Assess patients’ history, medication, and procedure requests before the study.
    • Explain procedures to patients and orient them to the laboratory setting.
    • Conduct physiological calibration, troubleshoot equipment, and monitor patients during studies.
    • Document routine observations, including sleep stages, clinical events, and procedural changes.
  • Conduct advanced sleep studies
    • Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance of Wakefulness Test (MWT), parasomnia studies, PAP titration, oxygen titration, and transcutaneous carbon dioxide monitoring.
  • Perform CPAP‑related procedures
    • Provide mask fitting, PAP interface fitting, and desensitization.
    • Comply with clinical guidelines for manual titration of PAP in patients with sleep‑related breathing disorders.
  • Perform portable diagnostic sleep studies
    • Conduct level 2 polysomnographic testing in the Sleep Laboratory, inpatient settings, or patients’ homes.
    • Ensure appropriate patient preparation, equipment calibration, and documentation of observations.
  • Conduct Home Sleep Tests (HST)
    • Prepare and explain the HST setup to patients.
    • Download, score, and generate reports for physician review.
    • Complete post‑study paperwork, administrative duties, and manual sleep scoring according to guidelines.
    • Evaluate test reliability and clinical implications.
  • Operate the Sleep Technologist Clinic
    • Perform proper mask fitting and CPAP device rental services.
    • Assist patients in their CPAP therapy journey, including telemonitoring and compliance tracking.
    • Analyze data, manage patient follow‑ups, and provide sales of CPAP masks and devices.
Service Quality
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of patients’ procedures and results.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and ensure adherence to quality control procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of laboratory policies and operational processes.
Administration
  • Prepare detailed reports of procedures, patient information, and operational data.
  • Plan staff schedules to ensure adequate service coverage.
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Life Sciences, Health Sciences, or equivalent.
  • Working experience in a Sleep Laboratory setting preferred.
  • Experience in managing accreditation processes and maintaining quality standards is preferred.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).
  • Accreditation in sleep scoring (e.g., AASM Sleep ISR or similar) is an advantage.
  • Holds a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CPAP manufacturer software and cloud‑based platforms.
