Job summary

SafeBox is seeking a skilled Glazier to install and repair glass in buildings, homes, and vehicles. You will measure, cut, and fit glass of tempered, laminated, and insulated varieties, and fabricate metal frames as needed.

The role requires reading blueprints, following instructions precisely, and maintaining safety standards while handling tools and heavy materials. A minimum of 2 years of glazing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Glazier.
• Knowledge of different types of glass and their uses.
• Familiarity with glazing techniques and tools.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work at heights if necessary.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions.
• Install glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other structures.
• Repair or replace cracked or broken glass.
• Fabricate metal frames for installation.
• Install weather stripping around frames to prevent air infiltration.
• Remove old or damaged putty or caulking and apply new materials.
• Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures at all times.
