Job summary

FlexiRemote Solutions in Bergen, Norway is seeking a Civil Engineer - Structural Design Specialist to design and oversee construction of buildings, bridges, and roads. You will analyze existing structures and work with architects and contractors to ensure compliance with codes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with 5+ years in structural design, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong communication skills for teamwork and client interactions. BIM experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong understanding of building codes.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Design and develop structural plans for various construction projects
Utilize software programs to create detailed models and drawings
Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure designs meet project requirements
Perform calculations and analysis to ensure structural integrity of designs
Evaluate existing structures for potential upgrades or repairs
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate design plans and progress
Adhere to safety standards and building codes throughout the design process
