About MazeMap

MazeMap aims to build the future of indoor navigation. Founded in Trondheim in 2013, we are a SaaS company and recognized global market leader in indoor mapping and wayfinding for universities, hospitals, and corporate offices worldwide.

Using an in-house developed tool, we create high-quality indoor maps from floor plans, enabling features like wayfinding and resource management for large, complex buildings across Europe, ME, Australia, and the US. As we scale, we are automating map creation with smarter interfaces and machine learning.

About the Role

What We Are Looking For:

• 8 Years or more as an IC: Solid background focused on building scalable backend systems (no formal manager or team lead roles, though mentoring peers and juniors are welcome).
• Python Mastery : Deep, hands-on Python expertise (AsyncIO, performance tuning, microservices) alongside working knowledge of Java and exposure to C++.
• Product & AI Literacy: Active user of AI development tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude) and experienced in leveraging AI/ML capabilities inside products.
• Math & Algorithmic Rigor: Proven track record with spatial data, graph algorithms, mathematical modeling, or complex computational logic.
• Fluent English Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English skills essential for cross-border collaboration between Norway, India, and global satellite teams.
