Job summary

Ikm Gruppen AS is seeking a capable process engineer to lead front-end and detailed design activities in Asker, Norway. The role focuses on delivering process design basis, PFDs, UFDs, and validation through simulations and datasheets.

Applicants should have 8+ years of FEED/detailed engineering experience, with exposure to greenfield or brownfield projects in the chemical process industry, and be able to work on-site in Asker with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of FEED and/or detailed engineering experience.
• Experience on Greenfield or Brownfield projects.
• Experience in the chemical process industry, including acid/solvent recovery, distillation, or process safety.
• Strong relationship-building and multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Proactive, with excellent communication and commitment to deadlines and quality.
• Physically present at the office in Asker.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review process deliverables including process design basis, PFDs, UFDs, and P&IDs
• Develop heat and mass balances, process simulations, and equipment sizing calculations
• Produce process datasheets, specifications, and process safety evaluations / SAT tables
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Interact with clients, suppliers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, HAZIDs, SIL assessments, and other safety studies
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory demands
• Support project execution with a strong focus on quality, schedule, and cost performance
