Job summary

NOV is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to own process engineering activities across tenders and project execution in the oil and gas sector. The role blends hands-on technical work with project leadership, delivering feasible designs and leading a small team of engineers.

You will guide FEED and EPC activities, drive technical reviews, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, within-budget execution while remaining engaged in engineering work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience within the oil and gas industry or related sectors.
• Proficient in process design.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform process engineering tasks, combining hands-on technical execution with coordination and review responsibilities.
• Availability for occasional business travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities across tenders and project execution.
• Collaborate with the Discipline Manager to define and align process team objectives within the project.
• Provide appropriate process engineering input to design activities undertaken by other inter-discipline engineering within the project team.
• Act as the process engineering interface with internal disciplines, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ensure all deliverables are technically accurate and aligned with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Execute feasibility studies, conceptual design, and process studies.
• Develop key design Process documentation and support other process engineers in their preparation.
• Represent process engineering in technical design reviews (e.g., P&ID, HAZOP, SIL, HAZID) as well as in client and vendor meetings.
• Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for process improvement

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Process Engineer to take ownership of process engineering activities across tenders and project execution within the oil and gas industry.

This role combines hands-on technical engineering with project coordination and leadership responsibilities. You will independently deliver process engineering work, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and lead a small team of Process engineers.

If you are an experienced process engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges, taking ownership of engineering deliverables, and developing your leadership capabilities while remaining actively involved in engineering work, this could be the right opportunity for you.

This role requires flexibility and availability for occasional business travel (1-2 times per year), with trips typically lasting for a few days to up to 2-3 weeks and potentially arranged at short notice.

• Engineering design in FEED and EPC in O&G such as; MEG regeneration, CO2/H2S removal (TEG), WI and PW.
• Previous experience as a Process Lead or if you don’t have but believe you could succeed in this role.
• Proficient in process engineering software (e.g., HYSYS)
