Your responsibilities
  • Expand pipeline of potential power transactions in the Nordics through developing relationships with counterparties and understanding commercial requirements
  • Originate downstream sale opportunities with industrial and trading counterparties
  • Originate PPA transactions with asset owners (for example route to market or balancing structures)
  • Originate other types of power transactions (e.g. flexibility, derivatives) in accordance with Power portfolio strategies
  • Execute transactions with counterparties, adhering to all internal operational and compliance processes
  • Help maximise value associated with existing contracts
  • Champion constant process improvement to manage high deal flow
  • Provide market intelligence to Uniper’s power portfolio teams to help define product and portfolio strategy
  • Spot strategic commercial initiatives/opportunities in a fast-changing power market and champion them within the company
Your profile
  • Undergraduate or Post Graduate degree in business/numerate discipline
  • Strong network of relationships across the value chain including producers, customers and trading counterparties
  • Established track-record of originating, negotiating and closing diverse types of power transaction
  • Sound understanding of the Nordic power market and regulatory developments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a ‘can do’ attitude to develop the business
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and collaborative way of working
  • Understanding of risk concepts including credit, market, liquidity and operational risks
  • Understanding of various power transaction contracts
  • Fluent in English; Professional working proficiency in Swedish or Norwegian a plus
