Job summary

SLB Norge AS is seeking an experienced Petrophysicist to perform high-quality reservoir evaluations and integrated petrophysical studies. You will collaborate with geologists, geophysicists, and engineers in Stavanger to translate subsurface data into actionable insights across exploration, appraisal, and field development projects.

You will lead studies, support well planning, and engage with clients while mentoring colleagues and promoting best practices in petrophysical workflows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in petrophysical interpretation and reservoir evaluation.
• Strong understanding of open-hole and cased-hole log analysis, including advanced logging technologies.
• Experience integrating well logs, core analysis (RCA/SCAL), pressure, and production data.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Lead petrophysical studies and integrated reservoir characterization projects.
• Deliver technical recommendations and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Support business development through client engagement, opportunity identification, proposal preparation, and project scoping.
• Mentor junior petrophysicists and promote knowledge sharing and technical training
• Ensure quality and consistency of petrophysical deliverables
