Job summary

Fossefall is building multi-datacenter AI infrastructure and seeks a Network Architect to own end-to-end network design from fiber entry to rack. You will set standards, drive automation, and make backbone decisions early to ensure scalable connectivity for GPU clusters.

You will lead WAN, peering, fabric topology and collide with site teams and vendors to deliver repeatable, templated deployments. This is a first-network hire with high influence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, network engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on routing and switching in datacenter/ISP scale.
• Ability to explain designs and trade-offs clearly.
• Experience with ISP-side infrastructure and IXP presence.
• Strong English communication; Nordic language skills a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Own Fossefall's network architecture end to end across current and future sites, including WAN and backbone.
• Bring new datacenters online from transit and routing policy to first production traffic.
• Coordinate fiber routes, meet-me rooms, cable plant with site teams before construction.
• Serve as technical contact for fiber providers, carriers, IXPs and hardware vendors.
• Design high-radix, non-blocking networks for GPU clusters using InfiniBand or RoCEv2.
• Build the network as code with source of truth, CI for changes and telemetry.
• Collaborate with compute, storage and security teams on requirements and segmentation.
• Define hardware platform strategy with Hardware Architect; align compute/storage/networking.
