Job summary

AutoStore, a leader in automated storage and retrieval solutions, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team in Norway. You will drive mechanical development from concept to production, collaborating across design, prototyping, testing, suppliers, and industrialization.

You will own mechanical systems, apply 3D CAD, FEA, and PLM, and guide products from prototype to serial production while solving complex technical challenges in a cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical design and product development.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Solid experience with 3D CAD, FEA, FMEA, PLM.
• Hands-on design of electro-mechanical systems with motors, belts, gears, drives.
• Experience taking products from prototype to serial production.
• Enjoy solving technical challenges through testing and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design from concept through production.
• Prototype, test, and iterate designs with FEA and testing results.
• Own mechanical systems to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with suppliers for serial production components.
• Work across cross-functional teams with product owners and engineers.
