Job summary

Giant Leap in Oslo is hiring a senior Java backend developer to advance Permit, a core part of Parksphere. You will join an autonomous product team responsible for architecture, technology and product development, with long-term ownership of the solutions you build.

You will work on modernizing and operating Permit, strengthening robustness, security and scalability, while shaping cloud infrastructure in AWS and collaborating closely with product managers and UX designers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant backend development experience in Java.
• Solid expertise with Spring or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and relational databases.
• Experience with cloud architecture and AWS; containers/serverless are a big plus.
• Familiarity with agile working methods and test-driven development.

Responsibilities

• Further develop, modernize and operate Permit with focus on robustness, security and scalability.
• Develop and optimize cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Promote good code structure and solid architectural decisions.
