Job summary

Job Description

As a Senior Hardware Engineer at Motorola Norway you are involved in all aspects of design, prototyping, test and manufacturing of our products.

Position Involves
  • Taking responsibility for hardware throughout its full lifecycle — from early concepts and development through industrialization, verification, compliance, release, continuous improvement, and long‑term support
  • Researching and evaluating emerging/gap technologies
  • Examining and experimenting with use cases, test setups
  • Designing, reviewing and supervising all aspects of the electronics in our products
  • Hardware testing, troubleshooting and qualification
  • Being part of our core hardware team working closely with all other disciplines
  • Collaboration with manufacturing and sub‑suppliers
Professional Skills
  • Master’s degree in Electronics design
  • 5–10 years of experience in hardware product development
  • A strong background in hands‑on hardware design, with the practical engineering skills needed to make sound design choices
  • Passionate about technology and hardware product development
  • Like to take things apart to understand how they work
  • Interested in scripting and low‑level programming
