Overview

In the Renewable Energy department at COWI, we work on projects within forward-looking and sustainable energy solutions. With us, you will have the opportunity to influence Norway’s energy future in exciting and complex projects.

We operate in a growing market and are looking for someone who wants to take a central and clear role in our further development, both technically and commercially.

Location

Location: Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim or Tromsø. Our other locations are also possible.

Role

Today, we work in a wide range of energy projects within electrification, energy storage, and solar power to meet society’s increasing demand for sustainable energy solutions. As a senior advisor - electrification, you will help develop energy concepts and implement these for our clients. With us, you will be able to work on projects in both energy planning, production, and distribution.

You will have a central role in the development of our technical areas and professional guidance of colleagues in the section.

The team

We’re a team of about 30 people, made up of engineers, specialists, and others. Our experience ranges from just a few years up to 40, and ages go from 29 to 65. Having such a mix really brings different viewpoints and ideas, making the team a great place to work and learn from each other.

In a growing market, we have ambitions to strengthen capacity and competence in several of our core areas in Renewable Energy, and your everyday work may include the following tasks:

  • Engineering tasks in electrification projects, such as shore power systems for the electrification of maritime transport, charging facilities for buses and heavy transport, etc.
  • Work with concessions to NVE and applications for Enova
  • Concept studies, pre-feed and feed projects as well as detail engineering
  • Hold professional and quality responsibility in projects
  • Contribute to the department’s marketing and tender work

Qualifications
  • Experience in electrification, battery, both within low and medium voltage systems.
  • Higher education in a relevant technical field
  • 7 years of relevant work experience
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken Norwegian and English
  • Self-driven and enjoys solving professional challenges both independently and in collaboration with customers and colleagues
  • Skilled at building relationships and collaborating internally with colleagues and externally with customers and stakeholders
  • Eager to contribute to competence building and knowledge sharing through COWI’s professional Communities
