Job summary

Event Staffing in Alta, Norway is seeking a Senior Dietitian to provide expert dietary advice and oversee junior dietitians on the team. The role focuses on comprehensive client assessments, personalized nutrition plans, and ongoing progress tracking.

You will conduct education sessions, stay current with nutrition guidelines, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support clients with complex needs. Norwegian language is preferred or willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Dietitian, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and guidelines, including special diets for various health conditions.
• Excellent communication and rapport-building with diverse clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Fluent in Norwegian (or willingness to learn).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' dietary needs, taking into consideration their medical history, lifestyle, and goals.
• Develop personalized nutrition plans based on clients' individual needs and preferences.
• Monitor and track clients' progress towards their dietary goals, providing ongoing support and guidance.
• Conduct nutrition education sessions for individuals or groups on topics such as healthy eating, weight management, and chronic disease management.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines in the field of nutrition to ensure the most effective advice is given to clients.
• Oversee the work of other dietitians on the team, providing mentorship and guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients with complex medical conditions.
• Participate in community outreach programs to promote healthy eating habits and prevent nutrition-related diseases.
