Mastercard Inc. in Oslo seeks a Senior Counsel, Regulatory & Privacy to serve as a trusted advisor on regulatory, privacy, data governance, and resilience for Mastercard Payment Services Norway and Infrastructure Norway.

Based in Oslo with a requirement to attend the office regularly (minimum three days per week), you will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, and Technology teams to navigate complex laws and support business growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree and the right to practise in Norway or a comparable legal qualification.
• Post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Fluent Norwegian and English, both written and spoken.
• Familiarity with privacy and data protection frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a trusted regulatory and privacy advisor to senior leadership on developments affecting payment systems, privacy, data governance, and resilience.
• Provide pragmatic guidance on regulatory change implementation, governance, and control environment.
• Support cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Privacy, Technology, Security and Product teams across Norway and Denmark.
• Manage external counsel and contribute to the development of Mastercard's Regulatory & Privacy function in Europe and globally.
