Job summary

SLB Capturi, a leading carbon capture technology company, is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to supervise delivery of plant control systems in Norway from tender to commissioning.

You will manage I/O lists, coordinate with vendors, monitor progress, and drive FAT/SAT activities while leveraging AVEVA and Siemens TIA Portal expertise. This role offers a pivotal position in advancing the industrial energy transition within a growing ESG company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in control and automation engineering.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Lead Control System Delivery for Carbon Capture Plant projects from Tendering to Commissioning.
• Manage the project I/O List and coordinate with stakeholders and the control system vendor.
• Follow up vendor progress to ensure timely delivery of hardware and software.
• Support planning and identify risks, resource constraints, and schedule challenges.
• Coordinate FAT and SAT activities and drive timely closure of punch list items.
• Maintain engineering data in the AVEVA Engineering Database.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver efficient and high-quality control system solutions.

We serve a range of carbon-emitting industries including cement, bio/waste-to-energy, and gas-to-power among others. SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.

We are now looking for a Senior Control Systems Engineer.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead Control System Delivery for Carbon Capture Plant projects right from Tendering to Commissioning.
• Manage the project I/O List and coordinate with stakeholders and the control system vendor
• Follow up vendor progress to ensure timely delivery of hardware and software
• Support planning and identify risks, resource constraints, and schedule challenges

Your qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Control & Automation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in control and automation engineering
• Strong understanding of both hardware and software aspects of control systems
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal is desirable
• Knowledge of functional safety, IEC 61511, safety systems, and fire & gas detection is an advantage
• Experience from land-based industrial projects is preferred
• Fluent in written and spoken English
